Refrigerated shipping containers are the ideal way to transport and store goods that require reliable temperature-controlled facilities. When shipping or storing meat, cheese, dairy or seafood, a refrigerated container, also known as a ‘reefer’, is an absolute must-have. Fruits, flowers and many vegetables also need a steady temperature to make sure they arrive at their destination in their best condition, though they may only require an insulated container – it really does depend on the product, how far you are shipping, and how long the journey takes.
A refrigerated shipping container is not limited to just shipping goods either. Mechanically refrigerated shipping containers can also be used as a mobile cool-room on worksites, mine sites, construction sites, film sites, festival sites, catering sites and large functions – anywhere a portable solution to refrigeration is required.

High cube shipping containers are similar to standard, general purpose shipping containers, and offer all the same strength, durability and security. Their difference lies in the extra height they offer – a whole extra foot. Which may not sound like much, but it really can make all the difference. For instance, a high cube 40 foot container give you an extra 344 cubic feet of storage capacity over a standard 40 foot shipping container!
High cube shipping containers are useful when either extra height for tall goods, or more room to stack bulk cargo or storage items is required. Like the general purpose ocean cargo shipping containers, they’re made with solid steel and are completely waterproof, so offer a sturdy, durable, wind-proof, watertight, secure method of storing or shipping your goods.
Whilst the high cube shipping containers offer more storage capacity than a standard container, it is worth noting that the gross weight limit of both containers is the same across both containers, so the weight of the goods being shipped does need to be taken into consideration. If you’re just using it for storage, however, this is not a problem.
Our high cube shipping containers are available for hire or for sale, and offer:
